ASV, part of the Yanmar Compact Equipment brand, has launched the newly redesigned RT-65 Posi-Track loader, marking a significant advancement in their line of compact track loaders and skid steers. Designed with an emphasis on boosting productivity, enhancing user experience, and improving performance, the RT-65 is tailored specifically for contractors and owner-operators in the construction and landscaping industries.
The revamped RT-65 is equipped with a Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engine, a substantial upgrade from the previous model. Peter Ovrebo, Product Management Director for North America at Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, states, “We are committed to providing our customers with more robust and high-performing equipment. The RT-65 is a major leap forward, not only because it is powered by Yanmar but because it has been entirely redesigned to offer improved productivity and ease of use on the job site.”
This next-generation RT-65 features a radial-lift design and is powered by a 67.1-horsepower Yanmar engine. It offers an optional high-flow hydraulic system with a capacity of 26.7 gallons per minute (gpm). The loader’s advanced hydraulic system, combined with direct drive pumps, delivers exceptional performance with a rated operating capacity of 2,000 pounds and a tipping load of 5,714 pounds.
A key highlight of the RT-65 is its Posi-Track rubber track undercarriage, which ASV emphasizes for its superior traction and maneuverability. Weighing in at 7,385 pounds, the RT-65 features a sophisticated suspension system with two independent torsion axles per undercarriage. This design ensures a smooth ride over various terrains while maintaining a low ground pressure of just 4.2 psi, making it ideal for challenging conditions like steep, wet, muddy, and slippery environments.
