HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has expanded its product line to include crawler dozers with the introduction of the HD100 model. This new addition broadens Hyundai’s range of earthmoving equipment, which already includes wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, articulated dump trucks, skid steers, and compact track loaders.

“The new HD100 dozer will be a valuable addition to the equipment fleets of earthmoving contractors, forestry workers, and waste handlers who already benefit from Hyundai’s wheel loaders and excavators,” said Mike Ross, Senior VP at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America. “It demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for a variety of earthmoving and material-handling needs.”

David Spooner, Product Manager at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America, added, “This new dozer offers a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio and excellent visibility to the dozer blade. Our dealers and customers, especially those in landscaping and forestry, have shown significant interest in this machine.”

The Hyundai HD100 dozer is designed to be heavier and more powerful than other dozers in its size class, featuring a robust undercarriage system with dual-flange rollers outside the track chain and single-flange rollers inside to ensure track stability and reduce wear. This 10-ton-class machine has a standard blade capacity of 2.9 cubic yards and a digging depth of 1 foot 6 inches. Powered by a fuel-efficient 4-cylinder Hyundai G2 DM03 engine that meets Tier IV Final emissions standards, the dozer boasts a standard operating weight of 23,589 pounds and a track length of 108 inches. Its hydrostatic transmission enhances speed and torque control for smooth operation.

The HD100 dozer offers superior visibility and grading precision. The electronic cooling system is positioned at the back, providing an unobstructed view of the 6-way angle blade. The narrow front hood, inline pre-cleaner placement, minimized cab pillars, and maximized glass areas, including all-glass doors, further enhance visibility. Standard features include a rearview camera, high-illumination LED lights, and four premium wiper blades. The 6-way variable-angle-pitch dozer blade allows for precise grading and smooth back grading.

The dozer is compatible with grading technologies that enable even novice operators to work faster and more precisely, saving time and fuel while maximizing productivity. The 2D Smart Blade assist function, which is standard, facilitates precision grading. The HD100 can also be ordered Trimble-ready with optional 3D machine guidance and control systems.

An LGP (low ground pressure) option is available, featuring a wider 10-foot 7-inch blade and wider track shoes. Other options include a parallel ripper or towing drawbar. Key specifications include a maximum travel speed of 5.6 mph, seven track rollers, shoe width of 1 foot 8 inches, and ground contact pressure of 5.6 psi (38.6 kPa) with the standard blade or 4.2 psi (29.0 kPa) with the LGP package.

With the HD100, Hyundai continues to enhance its lineup, providing versatile and efficient solutions for the construction industry.
