Kobelco introduces quite some new excavators with improved performance

Recently Kobelco has been busy introducing new types of excavators and has made a number of improvements to previous excavators. New models include mini excavator, which improves fuel efficiency and reduces noise, and conventional excavators, which increase digging power. The company has also upgraded its SR series and blast excavators.

Two mini excavators, sk30sr-6e (pictured above) and sk45srx-6e, were added to Kobelco’s lineup.

The company designed the sk30sr-6e to reduce fuel consumption by 25 percent and improve hydraulic performance. It employs a fourth-stage final engine and the company’s industrial cooling system to reduce noise, prevent dust and make it easier to maintain. It also has the smallest rear-swing radius and zero-tail cantilever to work in tight spots.

The sk45srx-6e combines many of the features of a large Kobelco excavator and is mini, the company said. It is equipped with the company’s industrial + electronic cooling system, can reduce the impact on the environment, noise can reach 75 decibels. It has an integrated flow pump system and two-speed walking function. It also features the company’s new four-way Blade with a right-left angle motion of 25 degrees.

Two models have been added to Kobelco’s traditional excavator lineup: sk170lc-10 and sk300lc-10. The SK170LC-10 has a digging force of 26,500 pounds, a depth of 21 feet, and a swinging speed of 12 revolutions per minute. It has 127 horsepower, a four-stage final Japanese train engine and three working modes.

KOBELCO has been boosted with the new SK300 lc-10, which uses a 252-horsepower 4-stage final sunfield engine. Weighing 68,100 pounds and digging 37,300 feet. The company says a new touring bike can increase traction by 10 percent.

The new models at conexpo include several upgraded conventional excavators, including two 10s — the SK210 LC-10 and SK350 LC-10 — built by Kobelco at its new plant in Moore, South Carolina.

The upgraded sk210lc-10 weighs 49,400 pounds and is powered by a 160-horsepower four-stage final sunfield engine. It has 29,330 feet of digging power, a 7% increase in workload. Shen gang in s mode than the previous model to improve 10% of the fuel economy, in the ecological mode to further improve 6% . It also comes with a higher prosperity foot cross section, thick-armed foot footplate and a stronger footplate base.

The 270-horsepower sk350lc-10 is equipped with a new hydraulic regeneration system that uses the force generated by the boom to assist the arm. Its excavations are 5% higher than the previous generation, and its fuel efficiency is 18% higher. It’s got 56,200 pounds of digging power. The arm has a thicker base plate and the boss shape has been redesigned for stability and durability, the company said.

Sk500lc-10 also improved the efficiency of the previous generation, mining volume increased by 11% , the workload increased by 10% . Weighing in at 114,000 pounds, it is powered by a 369-horsepower, four-stage final hino engine. A new hydraulic actuator improves cooling fan operation and reduces noise. The company says its “Autonomous travel”feature allows the machine to move, lift and sway simultaneously without losing power. The counterweight removal system is optional.

The SR series excavators Kobelco also offer three upgraded versions of the SR series, weighing between 17,000 and 60,000 pounds.

Kobelco said it reduced fuel consumption for the sk140srlc-5 excavator by 21 percent when it operated in an ecological mode. In h mode, the hourly workload increased by 5.2% . The 31,500 pound machine maintains its mini design and short back swing. Digging depth 19 feet, 7 inches, swing speed 11 miles per hour.

The Ed160-5 is a combination of bulldozer and excavator, the company said. Weighing in at 36,200 pounds, the 95.5 horsepower engine is designed to sleep. Its six-way power-tilting Blade provides a choice of float, tilt, lift and angle. It has an extra large landing gear and curved track pads for better traction and higher flotation. Digging Force of 20,500 feet.-pounds. Its tail has a zero swing radius.

The third machine to upgrade the SR series is the SK230 srlc-5. The 56,400 pound excavator increased fuel efficiency by 31 percent and its hourly workload by 8 percent in ECO mode or h mode. It has a capacity of 29,700 FT pounds, a maximum depth of 31 ft 10 in and a depth of 19 ft 6 in.
