KX033-4, the latest addition to Kubota’s mini excavator, made its concrete world debut in 2017. The 3 ton excavator now features many of the standard features of Kubota’s larger machines, including a larger cab, a dash control preset for the auxiliary loop, and a standard hydraulic steering valve. It’s available at the dealership this month.
Powered by a 24.8 HP Kubota Tier 4 terminal engine, the machine has an adjustable hydraulic system that allows the operator to program up to five different oil flow rates through a digital control panel. The engine speed can be set to automatically idle when the control level is neutral for more than 4 seconds, enabling the unit to improve fuel efficiency and reduce noise. The traditional tail-flap kx033-4 is dug to a depth of 10 feet 6 inches, replacing the KX91-3. Standard Steering Valves on the KX033-4 can be easily switched by turning the wrench.
The maximum flow rate of the auxiliary hydraulic circuit of the machine is 15.8 grams per minute. The high-capacity hydraulic system drives a performance-matching arm, arm and barrel, with maximum barrel breakout force of 8,138 and 3,867 lb arms. A standard three-line hydraulic return system allows the oil to be returned directly to the tank without the need to control valve flow, thereby reducing back pressure and heat and increasing efficiency. Kubota Jeff, product manager Jeff Jacobsmeyer says: “A standard shunt valve is mounted on a bucket rod that connects two accessories, a thumb and a hammer.”. Wider, newer digital display panels with push-button operation allow operators to monitor key controls, such as hydraulic oil flow. The Auxiliary 1 operating switch is located at the control level of the right joystick, and there is a two-speed travel switch on the bulldozer lever. In Mass napping applications, the machine automatically switches from high to low, switching back to higher speeds as the load is reduced.
