Mecalac’s 12MTX is a versatile machine that combines the functions of a compact excavator, loader, and telehandler, delivering exceptional performance in material handling, digging, and loading. This multi-functional equipment is invaluable for industries like construction, landscaping, and utilities, eliminating the need for multiple machines on-site and reducing maintenance, labor, and transportation costs.
Peter Bigwood, General Manager of Mecalac North America, points out the 12MTX’s compact design and versatility as key advantages. Its ability to operate in tight spaces without requiring additional equipment or large crews makes it cost-efficient and labor-saving.

The 12MTX features a three-piece, variable angle, side-mounted boom, enhancing its compactness and flexibility for work in confined spaces. Its range allows for continuous operation without frequent repositioning, supported by a selector switch for seamless mode transitions.
The machine’s 20-mph top speed enables quick site movement and direct travel to nearby locations without a trailer, maintaining stability and precision with its low center of gravity. Designed for varied terrains, it has four-wheel drive, an articulated undercarriage, and multiple tire options, ensuring optimal control. The high-flow hydraulics system supports various attachments via the CONNECT quick coupler system.
Operator safety and comfort are prioritized, with features like an automatically unfolding step for safe cab access, an ergonomic interior with excellent visibility, and an optional heated pneumatic seat for added comfort.
