The stage is set for ScotPlant in 2022

The eyes of the world are on Scotland, where the latest machines and innovations from many of the world’s leading companies in the construction equipment industry will be on display this week at Scottish factories 2022.

On Friday 22nd April and Saturday 23rd April, at the Edinburgh Airport, near the Royal Highlands Centre, you can see the outstanding products of the major brands and their local distributors, bobcat, Kes, Doosan, Hitachi, Hyundai, Jessy, Buckow, Komatsu, Kubota, Liebherr Group, McLoskey, Melo, Merlo, powerscreen, Rokbak, Sany, Takeuchi, Takeuchi, Terex, Severinus, and more.

Because of the flu pandemic, this year’s Scottish factory marks the first time in four years that the entire Scottish factory can come together in such an environment to see the latest machines and products, discuss the challenges of the entire industry, conduct business, network, and generally celebrate a sector that has faced — and continues to face — numerous challenges but remains resilient and plays an absolutely vital role in the delivery of construction projects across the country.

As usual, Scott 2022 will host a series of machine launches and exhibitions.

LIEBHERR GROUP’S TA230 articulated dump truck is on display in the UK for the first time, while Sany is unveiling two brand new excavators, a 40 tonne SY390 and a 7.5 tonne SY75.

Takeuchi’s 7 ton mini excavator is one of the manufacturer’s products that will debut its Scottish whisky factory. Other mini excavators on display at the Royal Highlands Centre include Kubota’s new KX060-5 and the European Commack 25zt.

SCOTPLANT will also be the first exhibit in Scotland of a model of Kobelco’s 11th-generation excavators and will provide the launching pad for the modern Hx145al high-walker. Character from Harry Potter will showcase the SBM Jawmax 400 rail mounted mobile jaw crusher for the first time in Scotland, as well as a range model from Kes’s new e series crawler excavator.
Hitachi will use its first factory appearance in Scotland in 18 years to promote the latest zaxis-7 excavator, while Doosan dx100w-7 wheel excavator will make its debut at the show.

As tilt rotors become more common on construction sites, the Scotplant will also be a place to see the latest innovations, from INGERCON, kinshafer, Rotorto and steel wrist.
For those looking to see the latest remote, Scotplant’s lineup is expected to include the new Bobcat r series TL30.70, Manitou’s mrt2660 vision plus, JCB’s 26-meter spin 555-260r, and Merlo’s all-electric electronics workers, its appearance at the recent 70th annual spoa dinner in Glasgow attracted great interest.

Motherwell-based manufacturer Rokbak said it expects to show its RA30 and RA40 articulated conveyors on home turf. Another Scottish architecture firm, Malcolm Group, has announced a new product on display, rugby Stars from Glasgow Warriors will also be at the event.

“The demand for Scottish factories has always been incredible, but after the restrictions of the past two years, this year’s event is more special than ever,”said Gary Moug, editor of the Scottish engineering and plant engineering magazines. For many visitors and exhibitors, the Scott Factory will be the first exhibition they will attend in person before the outbreak.

“The plant industry is a relationship-based business, and while everyone has to adapt to new ways of working, I believe most industry professionals enjoy the ability to touch machines, Talk face-to-face and do business in a more traditional way.”

The ScotPlant is a free-to-join, organized Media Group for Peebles, publisher of the Scottish Project and the Project Plant magazine.
